Tamarind trees are found everywhere on Trinidad, and its tangy fruits are used to create a much loved home-made Trini delicacy.
Ingredients
- 3-4 tbsps raw tamarind fruit – add sugar to adjust taste if the tamarind is too sour
- 2 tbsps ground garlic
- 2-3 tsps Shadon Beni
- 3-4 cups of water
Method
Simply place all the ingredients in a pan to simmer until thick.
